The Death & Rebirth of the Schuylkill River

  • Marly's 106 Bridge Street Phoenixville, PA, 19460 United States (map)

As John Adams once wrote to his wife, Abigail, “I drink no cider, but feast on Philadelphia beer.”

Join us for an evening of spirits and history, as the Schuylkill River Town Program presents a fact and fun-filled program about the Schuylkill River – from its role as lifeblood of the Industrial Revolution and the “workshop of the world”, to a fiery open sewer, and finally to its recent rebirth as 2014 River of the Year and home to bald eagle and shad. Learn the incredible story of how the river has shaped our community and the nation!

To start us off, we will sample products from local breweries and distilleries. Free, but space is limited! CLICK HERE to register.
