Join a free paddle for 13 - 18 year-olds! Paddle from Lock 60 in Phoenixville to Longford Park and back. The trip includes snacks and a presentation on the history of the Schuylkill River.
Kayaks provided! Registration required.
This event is presented by the Schuylkill River Town Program, an initiative of the Pennsylvania Environmental Council. It is free because the cost is underwritten by 2 separate grants, the PA Organization for Watersheds & Rivers and LL Bean. Both grants focus on environmental education and outdoor recreation for kids.
Kayaks are flat water boats that are safe, stable and easy to steer. Our guide is Doug Chapman and is ACA certified.
